Similar to the test servlet of the Kerberos Login Handler for IdP V2, some test function to test the availability of SPNEGO on the browser should be provided.

This is a nice-to-have feature.

This functionality could be provided as an extension for the IdP V3.

Task #3568: Provide example of how to test availability of SPNEGO in browser in login.vm template.Closed

#1 Updated by Daniel Lutz over 4 years ago

The attached JSP file spnego-test.jsp provides a simple implementation in JSP.

The file needs to be copied to /opt/shibboleth-idp/edit-webapp/spnego-test.jsp.

The test page is then available at the URL path /idp/spnego-test.jsp.

An example of this JSP file and an example on how to integrate the test in login.vm via AJAX should be documented at https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/IDP30/SPNEGOAuthnConfiguration (or on a subpage).

Cleanup all old open issues.
(The SPNEGO login flow is supported by the IdP since V3.2. Therefore, this issue can be ignored now.)
